Flag games like Worldle: one daily flag puzzle and the quizzes to learn from
Updated October 22, 2026 · 3 min read
Worldle asks about flags in its bonus rounds, but only once a day and only for one country. If flags are the part you enjoy, or the part that keeps catching you out, these are the games that go further. Only one of them is a true daily with Worldle's distance clues; the rest are quizzes you can repeat as often as you like, which suits learning a whole continent at once.
The daily flag puzzle with Worldle's clues
Flagle is the only flag game we found that is a real daily with Worldle's distance, arrow and proximity after each miss. It comes from the same studio and resets at local midnight, just as Worldle does.
The flag begins covered and one tile is uncovered after each guess, with six tries in all. Bonus rounds then ask for the country's shape, the capital's flag, the national emblem, a neighbour's flag and its population and currency. Played after Worldle, it covers the other half: shape first in one, flag first in the other.
Flags in Worldle and other Teuteuf games
Worldle itself has a free Flag bonus round after the main puzzle, and its Practice Mode counts flags among the subjects you match countries with. Two more Teuteuf dailies use flags as one ingredient among several.
Some of its row and column clues are about flags, so filling a square can mean knowing a country's flag as well as its borders and its numbers. Free with ads and new at local midnight.
- GeoConnections
A daily board of 16 squares, mixing flags with countries, cities and landmarks, to sort into four groups of four that share a link, with four mistakes allowed. Flags are one part of the mix here, so it suits players who like variety more than drill.
Flag quizzes you can play any time
None of these is a daily. You pick a quiz and play it as many times as you want, usually against a timer, and you meet every flag of a region in minutes rather than one a day.
Flag quizzes for Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Oceania and the whole world, plus the US state flags. Click the right flag in Pin mode or type the country's name in Type mode. Every quiz on the website is free, and the full iPhone app has no ads.
- Sporcle flag quizzes
A whole section of flag quizzes and games on the long-running quiz site, led by its Flags of the World Quiz, where you name the country behind every flag on Earth. You type answers against a timer, a different skill from Worldle's guessing that builds the same memory.
- JetPunk flag quizzes
Its All Country Flags of the World Quiz gives you 15 minutes to name the country for every flag. It has been up since May 2014 and taken more than four million times, and the average score is 50%, a fair sign of how hard a full set is.
- Lizard Point flag quizzes
Plain flag quizzes by continent with Study, Practice and Test modes. Even in Test mode you get three tries per flag, with fewer points for each extra try, which makes it a gentle place to start if flags are your weak spot.
Paint a flag instead of naming it
Recognising a flag and remembering it well enough to reproduce it are different tests, and the second is harder.
- Paint by NationOurs
Our own flag game turns the quiz around: you are given the country and paint its flag in the right colours, part by part, with three lives and no clock. Hard mode mixes in look-alike shades such as maroon beside red. It covers the 195 UN member and observer states but no territories, and it is not a daily.
Questions people ask
Is there a daily flag game like Worldle?
Yes: Flagle, from the same studio. You get a flag a day, six guesses and Worldle's distance, arrow and percentage after each miss. Worldle also has its own Flag bonus round each day after the main puzzle.
Is there a Flagle app?
No. Flagle's FAQ says there is no app, and warns that apps in the stores using the Flagle name are likely copycats. The real game is played in a browser at flagle.io. Worldle, by contrast, does have official iPhone and Android apps.
How can I learn flags faster than one a day?
Use an unlimited quiz. Seterra's continent flag quizzes and Lizard Point's study mode let you see a region's flags many times in one sitting, and painting flags from memory in Paint by Nation checks whether you know each colour and where it goes.
